In this case, you can use common household items that have some acidity (like vinegar) or natural oils (like peanut butter and mayonnaise) to get it off. Simply rub a small amount into the residue and wipe away with a cloth.

How to get super glue off wood floors: For stubborn stains

Ice won’t work with stubborn stains from more powerful super glues. In this case, you’ll need to use a lubricant to get super glue off hardwood floors using the following steps:

  1. Dab a small amount of lubricant on the area affected by the residue.
  2. Let sit for approximately 20 minutes.
  3. Pry the glue away gently using a soft-ended object, like a cotton swab.
