Step by step
HOW TO USE
Step 1: Safety Precautions
Wear disposable gloves and avoid skin contact with adhesive. Cured adhesive on bare skin will not come off immediately with washing and will cause skin to darken. Cured adhesive and discoloration will wear off in about 3 days. Protect work area.
Step 2: Preparation
Use between 5°C and 38°C. Surfaces must be tight fitting, clean, free of standing water, grease, frost, dust and other contaminants. Complete all preparatory work before opening adhesive. Plastics may be difficult to bond especially if the source or type is unknown. It is therefore recommended that a trial test be preformed prior to the job to determine the integrity of the bond. Screw nozzle/cap assembly onto tube to break inner seal. Unscrew cap.
Step 3: Application
Apply adhesive sparingly and evenly to one of the surfaces to be bonded. Immediately clamp objects together for 3 minutes. Adhesive expands during curing process. Clamp time may need to be extended in cases of low humidity. Replace cap securely onto tube immediately after use. Be careful not to allow to cure on a finished surface. Once the adhesive is cured it must be removed mechanically. Allow adhesive to cure completely before coating. If staining surfaces, sand off any remaining adhesive. For exterior applications, apply a finish coating (i.e. varnish) to joint to protect from the elements.
Step 4: Cleanup
Uncured adhesive residue should be removed immediately using mineral spirits. Once adhesive is cured, it must be removed mechanically.
